Trusted by 20,238+ Streamers

Getting your first ten viewers on Twitch or YouTube can feel impossible. You go live and no one shows up, so you're sitting there talking to yourself, wondering what you're doing wrong. Trust me, I've been there.

Here's the truth, getting those first ten viewers isn't about luck. It's about strategy. I'll be giving you the three fastest ways to hit this first milestone.

Build Your Audience Through Connections

Your first viewers aren't going to come from the Twitch algorithm, they'll come from relationships that you're building.

You'll want to join small Discord channels where people actually talk to each other. I'm not just talking about the servers that spam all the time, you'll want to find the time to engage on X, YouTube, and Reddit. You'll want to comment on posts, help people, and make friends before asking people to watch you.

You should find 2-3 streamers in your niche and interact with their chat. If you're visible and helpful, people will start to naturally check out your stream.

Have an Intriguing Title

Here's a pro-tip: don't just drop the link to the stream, give value to it first. No one is going to click on a stream just because you're playing a game. People click because there's a reason to watch. Instead of saying, "I'm live now playing War Zone," say, "Can I win with only a pistol? I have one hour to beat this game." Make your stream title intriguing. Ask yourself if you would click on your stream based on the title alone.

Plan Your Content Ahead of Time

Another pro-tip is to plan your content before you go live. Going live shouldn't be a surprise, people should be waiting for you to begin streaming. You'll want to find a way to post a teaser to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or X an hour before you go live.

An example would be, "Going live in 30 minutes, trying to win a game using only melee weapons. Come through!" Then, drop your link so people know where to join.

If you have a small audience, you can also DM people directly, just saying, "Hey, I'm going to be streaming here shortly."

The thing you want to think about is that every social media post should give a reason for people to click on the stream for you to get your first ten viewers. Remember that it's not about streaming more, but building connections. It's all about being smart with how you bring people in.

Once you have those first ten viewers, how do you keep them coming back? That's what I break down in this video here. I'll show you how to keep viewers engaged and get your first 100 Twitch followers.
